Homemade Card Exchange – Wanna Join?

Photobucket

Every 3 or 4 weeks some friends at work and I get together and we make cards.  Each of us designs one and then brings the materials for everyone to make the same card.  It’s awesome!  It’s relaxing and fun and we all leave with beautiful cards that we can mail out.  I just love getting mail – and sending it!  Sadly, it’s become “old school” nowadays and most people text or call or email.  But there’s something to be said about opening the mailbox and seeing a letter (and not a bill) in there for me or for my kids.  It makes my day!

Here are some of the cards we have made:

I just love them!  We’ve made lots more but I’ve mailed them off to family or friends.

That being said, I thought it would be fun to do a card swap/exchange.  Are you interested?

Here are the rules:
* Make 6 cards (all the same design).  Any occassion and any style is great.  We stamp, but you can Cricut, paper craft, anything!
* Write your name and address on a 6 1/2 x 9 inch envelope (or one about that size) and include $1.30 in postage (on the envelope).
* Mail the cards and envelope to me by April 1st.

I will sort the cards and mail them out to each of you so you will get 5 cards (all different styles.  One card remains with the hostess (that’s me.)  =o)

Interested?  Email me @ crazybulldogs(at)comcast(dot)net and let me know you’re in!  I’ll send you my address to mail the cards.

I can hardly wait to see what you all create!

  14. Hi Erin
Thanks so much for your lovely comments on my blog. Unfortunately, I live in the UK so won’t be able to participate in your card swap, but I do think it is a fabulous idea.

  15. Erin, are you aware that you still have the dreaded Word Verification switched on. it actualy gives you no protection against spammers. your best protection is actually the Comments Moderation. A large number of people are now refusing to leave comments if they have to struggle through those horrid out of focus word. Thank you for your visit this evening and your kind comments. I am afraid I shall have to pass on joining in on your swaps. I am over in the UK and I rarely make more than one of any card anyway. Thank you for thinking of me though. Have a good week. xx Maggie

  16. Thanks for the invite. Sounds like fun, I am in. I will email you 😀

  17. Thanks for asking me to join your card swap. It`s a brilliant idea but unfortunately I`m madly making cards to start fundraising for a local charity and simply haven`t got the time.Maybe at a later date. I`ll keep checking your blog.

  18. Hi Erin, Thank you for your visit this evening and your very kind comments. Much as I’d like to I am sorry but I shall have to pass on joining in on your swaps. Living in Scotland is one reason, my unreliable health another, and finally I never make more than one of any card – I have the concentration of a gnat 🙂 Thank you for thinking of me though. Have a good week. Elizabeth xx

  20. Hi Erin

Thanks for your kind comment on my blog, l have only just started making cards so it means a lot when someone says my cards are amazing!

I really wish l could join in with your card swap but living in the UK would make it quite difficult I’m afraid. It’s a great idea though and l wish you luck.

Your blog is great and I’ve enjoyed taking a look at it. Please do return and keep in touch, it’s great to have a fellow crafter from America to chat to.

    Take care, Rach xx

  21. Hi Erin,
Thank you for your kind comment on my Blog.
It’s such a shame – I would love to join in but I live in Greece and the Post is so unpredictable – half the time my stuff goes ‘missing’ and last week the PO was shut for 10 days because of all the troubles here.
I wish you luck in your Swap though 😀
Oh, and I LOVE that octopus hot dog meal 😀 xxxxxxxxxx
