Sweet Surrender Fudge Fixx Cups Review

I absolutely love fudge! It’s one of those sweets that I can eat a ton of.  Every Christmas I make a pan (or three) and end up eating most of it. But are you ready for this?  Does it surprise you when I say I’m really picky when it comes to fudge?  If you’ve been reading my blog at all, it shouldn’t.  I love desserts but they have to be good!

I usually never buy fudge.  I try.  I buy it, try it and am disappointed by it and end up throwing it away because it’s not very good.  I hate when it’s “waxy” tasting.  If you’re a fudge eater you know what I mean.  I want it to melt in my mouth, not just sit there.

Because of my extreme picky-ness of fudge I was a little nervous to try Sweet Surrender Fudge.  I hate getting all excited to eat something delicious and then being disappointed.  But after reading about them and how they started, I wanted to give them a try.

Sweet Surrender Fudge was created in 2009 after Paul and Kara Stieffel realized the gourmet fudge market was lacking.  They use only the finest ingredients and use real butter.  I wonder if that’s what all the other fudge companies are missing???

I loved the idea of their Fudge Fixx Cups.  (I’m always saying that I need a fudge fix.) Fudge Fixx Cups are small, individual sized portions of fudge!  How awesome is that?!?!  And they have so many flavors to chose from!  Serious!  73 flavors including sugar free.  Holy smokes!

I had a hard time deciding which flavors I wanted to try.  So many choices!  But the kids and I decided on: milk chocolate (the classic), maple, orange creamsicle, mint chocolate and key lime.

The mail came as my kids and I were leaving for the beach.  Perfect!  I put the Fudge Fixx Cups in the car and off we went.  After checking into the motel and playing on the beach I thought I’d give them a try.  I LOVED THEM!  The fudge was creamy and smooth and delicious!  The flavors were amazing.  I was so shocked.  It tasted like homemade fudge!

My kids tried each flavor and said they were delicious.  Their favorite was the maple and then the orange creamsicle.  We had to wrestle a little for the maple cup.  It was yummy!  The maple flavor was wonderful and not too light or too strong.  My kids thought it tasted like a maple bar but it wasn’t as sweet as the frosting on a maple bar.  It was perfect!

I loved them all and would LOVE to try all the other flavors as well.

Fudge Fixx Cups are perfect for taking with you.  They come in these cute plastic containers (with lids) and a little spoon too.

I walked out in the hall to get some ice and this is what I came back to.

That’s my daughter, lounged out in the hotel, watching TV and devouring the maple fudge.

Where can you find Sweet Surrender Fudge?  You can buy directly from their website.  You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter.

A huge thank you to Sweet Surrender Fudge for sending us some delicious Fudge Fixx Cups to try.  And, as always, my opinions are my own.

  10. I do so love fudge.

  11. These cups are the perfect size for giving away as thank you gifts for a baby or bridal shower or birthday party!!! I would print out a cute sticker and attach it to the top of the lid cup.

  12. they all look so good, my mouth is watering!

  13. I love homemade, fresh fudge but it’s hard to find. My favorite is from a shop in Vermont. I absolutely love this idea about making these mini cups! What a great way to portion it! They have such unique flavors that I’ve never seen in fudge before! I definitely have to check out this company and order some for me and my family!

  14. I prefer homemade products, including fudge. After reading your review here. I would like to try this commercial fudge. thank you for being honest about your reaction to it, 🙂

  16. It reminds me of when my mother and I would make Fantasy Fudge from scratch at Christmas time.

  17. love fudge! the creamsicle sounds soooooooo good!

  18. My parents used to make homemade fudge when I was growing up and there is nothing that I’ve tasted since that tastes homemade. It sounds like you have found it. It sounds yummy, smooth and melt in your mouth good. Thanks for the review!!

  19. I’m not surprised the maple was a favorite that is one of my favorite flavors of fudge or anything else too.

This brings back memories of when I was a kid and my mom used to make the most delicious fudge it was so chocolately and creamy and smooth and sometimes she would put cut up maraschino cherries in it too. yummy

  20. This fudge is so creamy and delicious looking. When my mom was alive she made the best fudge in the world. I have the recipe but it just doesnt get as good as hers always was.

  21. Oooooo orange fudge…I wonder what that tastes like

  22. The maple fudge looks so good, now I’m hungry.

  23. Thanks for your review 🙂 I also love fudge but most that I’ve tried is too sweet and/or hard and/or chewy. None of it was melt-in-your-mouth yummy.

I love the packaging — very convenient. Whenever we’re out and about, my daughter invariably becomes hungry and/or thirsty. Food/drinks from home just don’t have the same appeal as an ice cold drink or snack from the vending machine, snack bar, or fast food restaurant.

Maybe these will do the trick. I’m sure she’ll love the little containers with spoons included.

  24. What a great way to eat fudge!! This would be very dangerous in my house, i love fudge.

  25. I have never heard of orange fudge. I would try it!

  26. Oh yum! My mouth is watering! It’s great to hear someone with such ‘picky’ taste has given these a thumbs up! 🙂

  27. I love the size, it is not too large but enough to satisfy your sweet tooth!

  28. Sounds like a great company! I love the serving size too! Thanks for sharing

  29. These all look delicious, I think I’ll go make some fudge today.

  30. YUM! Now I’m hungry! Time to run to the kitchen and make some myself! 😉

  34. My husband LOVES fudge! Other than that & brownies, he doesn’t care for sweets much at all. So he is REALLY picky as well. Glad to hear from another picky fudge fan that these hold up to your expectations! Would love to get these for the hubs! Thanks 🙂
